Good approach to smile in your thumbnail too because it makes you seem inviting right out the gate.
It's good you set the bar with your second vid and the first one that shows you because it will go well in line with future videos you make.
If you stick to making pleasant friendly looking thumbnails like smiling, whenever you make one that deviates from that, it'll be way more impactful and stand out among your videos.
I don't agree with these channels that are always changing up the emotional expression on their thumbnails...
It seems clickbaity and I automatically distrust them or just don't even watch the video at all.
So it's better to keep things steady and consistent and continue to look inviting.
