Sounds like you're gonna have to get the super hardcore blocky kind of phone case, not any of those sleek pissweak excuses for phone cases.
It'd be cheaper than having to buy a new phone every time the screen gets cracked, which is what I would do. I believe in having extra/backup phones though, especially if they're your only means of connectivity.
