The Miles Davis situation is different.
That dog has lived a different kind of life with Morgan than most pets ever live with their owners.
People usually don't haul their dogs around in a truck day in and day out for years. People usually live in houses.
Miles is more dependent on Morgan than pets usually are, his function is to guard and protect, and he has been honed in probably irrevocably to serve that purpose.
It's fucking sad.
