20:23 so I was watching this lastnight and got super inspired by Steve's fish cakes.
I'd never made fish cakes, so I looked at a couple recipes and made up my own from there.
I pulverized three different kinds of Triscuits. Opened a can of salmon, took the bones out. Mashed up all the salmon, seasoned with some salt/pepper/garlic powder. Cracked an egg in the salmon and mixed it together. Tossed some capers on top, threw in the Triscuit crumbs. Mixed it all together, formed into patties. Threw 'em on the skillet (buttered and salted).
I mixed up some honey, black cherry jam, mixed in some orange marmalade. Diluted it with EVOO and balsamic. Stirred it til nice and syrupy. Preheated the oven and threw the browned salmon patties in, topped them with the syrup and baked at 400 for a while. Garnished with thin green apple slices and continued baking.
I sauteed some onions. Put together a nice small side salad of romaine and purple cabbage with chopped apples on top.
I'm pleased with the outcome, never even thought of making fish cakes before.
