Recurring dreams of exact cityscapes that don't exist...

We've definitely talked about this before. Here's one of my old posts. I'm almost certain I posted about it in more detail somewhere else.

I often dream of a certain district of a city that seems very familiar, but I don't recognize as it someplace I've ever been.

These two posts of mine, spaced several years apart, recount the same dream.

Was the wall display in a store? Or was it one of those bizarre places in dreams that has every conceivable kind of room in it? You know, the kind of place where you can never find the exit. I was in a place like that once, trying to find my way out. As I was waiting for the elevator, a man came out of the elevator in a panic, screaming his head off. He'd gone mad because he couldn't find a way out.

When I was a child, I had reccuring nightmares about being lost in a huge building and not being able to find my way out. Sometimes I'd see other people in the dream. I'd open a door and see an old man sleeping in a musty, cobweb infested room. Or a guy running around frantically, screaming his head off, because he couldn't get out either.
