Recurring dreams of exact cityscapes that don't exist...

My hometown is one of these cityscapes, and I have only in recent years started having dreams that involve its "main street" area...

I dream sometimes of my old hometown in a modified or improved version... like it has hills with vistas and seems bigger or the main drag has different restaurants and shops filled with strange people I've never seen. I get a feeling like a mix of longing and fulfilling that longing all at once. Like being home but still wishing you were home. Hard to describe. The only architecture I recall is this one classical 1800s bank building that was a Subway when I was in high school and I dreamed it was a crowded Mexican restaurant.
One time it got nightmarish when I was at a friend's pool party on the nicest street in town, the one with the biggest houses it was a bright sunny day and life seemed dreamlike in this dream but something felt off.
Gradually we all began to notice that the sun was moving backwards in the sky and setting in the east.
Very fucked up and chilling feeling that I still remember to this day years later, dunno why.
