Ads don't play on videos which are embedded.

Meaning you can post it here then watch the video from your post.

That said, I am sure they'll find a way to fix that.

But it does explain why sometimes I find massively high view videos that disallow embedding on other sites...

I always wondered why, and it's because ads don't play on embedded videos, and they want every last dime of that ad money...

Kinda gross IMO. Besides, basically no one embeds videos in sites outside of YouTube, it's absolutely a tiny fraction.

I am still boycotting, but I found out Shorts don't show ads on YT so that's cool. Neither do regular vids from small/unmonetized channels.

Man I was SHOCKEDDDD by how many ads are actually on YT, I can't believe THIS is what people have been seeing the entire time, it's WILD.

They're fucking EVERYWHERE, pasted all over the damn site, and inside of videos like every 2 minutes.

It's very weird to me... it's intolerable and I'm surprised people have actually been putting up with this shit.

It changes the whole vibe of the site into a sheeple TV kinda feel. Gross, lmao!

But yeah, if there's a video I REALLY wanna watch, I embed it in a post and just preview the post and watch it on the preview page.
