Even in the most basic innocuous places you still gotta be on your guard.
I used to be really nice to people wherever I went, all smiles and trying to be a pleasant interaction in their day because I know a lot of people aren't nice.
But now I get it. It's crazy man, people will literally make fun of you for being nice. They shit talk you for being "rude" too though, I mean it's a no-win situation.
I think people are starting to become even more alienated from others because there's no winning with these fuckers.
I never wanted to accept these facts but over the past couple months I've finally come to terms with it. And I've heard the same from other people during that time. So that's how I know it's happening on a wide scale.
