It clicked with me when I was watching a clip within another video recently...
One of these men (usually there will be 3-5 of them on a panel) got so triggered and heated toward one of these female guests that he stood up and started yelling (obscene insulting abusive shit) at her whilst leaning in her direction.
It was really quite disturbing. As I believe I said somewhere in the OP, the man was very physically intimidating. These "manosphere" podcast types are usually gym rats, totally obsessed with fitness and becoming muscular etc.
Anyway, it was very clear that they had a CONSCIOUS agenda of berating, verbally abusing, and using untold other psychological (and physical) tactics to convey an almost porn-esque domination atmosphere. It was something they were clearly doing on purpose.
Not sure how long the PURPOSEFULNESS of their format has been going on... not sure how long they've been consciously gaming exactly what they're doing with these female guests. Maybe from the get-go. Regardless, as of the time of posting this thread, the most popular "manosphere" podcasts are employing these tactics on purpose.
If one were to look at it from a scientific standpoint... these podcasts are probably triggering/lighting up the same area of the brain that is engaged when males are watching porn, particularly domination or abuse themed porn.
