I've noticed in watching some of the later season episodes of Poirot lately that Suchet has a blue ring around the bottom of each eye...
Apparently it's called "arcus senilis" (corneal arcus) and it can happen beyond age 50. Looks like it's been present from pretty early on in his time as Poirot though, 1989-2013. He was 43 when the show started.
