She's eating some kinda nasty old cereal that's like powder out of a wicker bowl covered in foil.

 

I've heard of powdered milk and boxed cereal but the other way around sounds funnier.
Missed that part but I did see her catching a cockroach on the counter. She goes "I caught him in the same cup as a dead fly"
and then told the roach to eat the fly for dinner.
