I don't think AI art (especially music) will have the staying power that human created art does.

I don't think AI art trends will have the cyclical resurgence in popularity that we see with human created trends though.

The only reason it would have staying power is if it's modeled after popular (pre-AI) eras of human history, like the Motown/funk AI generated music for example.

So it's just a watered down, fake version of something that was real.

Catchy, fun and definitely enjoyable, but not the real thing and will never be regarded and put on a pedestal like the real thing was.

The issue will be when AI creates a music trend that humans then replicate, and that material might have resurgence over decades. But I think it'll have less of an impact than something that was entirely human conceived.
