Okay, I admit it, I have strange interests.
I should be able to let go of the message board format, transition into some other type of platform, accept that the whole internet is just going to be overrun with AI crap from this point forward...
I would probably HAVE TO if I was trying to run a community where the whole point was to get new members and have new people posting.
Those times are over, in that regard, forums are dead.
But if you're using the forum platform/layout as a blog and don't care about engagement...
Really, there is no limit on the usefulness of the message board as a platform.
So the community aspect of forums is cooked, simply because everyone's just gonna be using AI. In 10 years, I guarantee a minuscule amount of the "internet population" will actually be writing their own shit anymore.
Probably already the case.
