I can't enjoy Ilia's talent because of this.
It's like a lamb to the slaughter.
His potential is gonna get wasted because his career will inevitably be shortened due to injuries/physical demand.
This shit happens to football players all the time, head injuries out the wazoo, they get TBI and their personalities get all fucked up...

These same practices should be applied to figure skating. It needs to be regulated. The writing is on the wall, they're just gonna keep ramping it up til it requires inhuman levels of capability.
I want to be excited about Ilia, but I'm a lot more worried than excited.
The Olympic gold is too tempting and these skaters will do anything to reach that place.
