Dexter: Review & Commentary
#57
Michael C. Hall has narrated a few audiobooks and his work is excellent.

My personal favorite so far is "The Lost Dinosaurs of Ancient Egypt" (2002) and from what I can tell, he voiced it WAY back in the day. Like 2002 type shit. If so, it would have been his first narration work and I think he was trying to prove something, because the words he had to pronounce throughout this book were crazy. I think he purposely chose some of the hardest shit he could find so that no one would question his abilities.

I get the impression that narrating audiobooks is actually really hard. He probably shot his wad on that book and then decided he'd keep pursuing hollywood instead.

In more recent years, he also narrated Breakfast at Tiffany's and Pet Sematary.

A lot of his fans are hoping he does more audiobook narration in the future. His voice is very relaxing. I like falling asleep to the Lost Dinosaurs book, not only because of his voice, but because it is a topic which interests me.

If he steps back from acting as he gets older, voice work would be an excellent way to stay in the game but not have to jump through as many hoops. Especially after Dexter really does end, he's gonna need something to fall back on and I think narrating would be a pretty chill option.
