Dunno how this became the catch-all Tom Cruise thread, but let's go with it...
I don't like this guy's Mr. Beast approach to speaking like he's trying to keep the attention of a bunch of 8 year olds, but he DOES get some great interviews. Nobody's watching for him, so it's fairly easy to look past.
The Tom Cruise stuff is kinda laced throughout this vid and I only came for him, but I'm gonna attempt to listen to the other fuckers too.
1:30 OMG it's the Kind Bar guy. I actually fucking love Kind bars.
"Are you a billionaire?" - "I guess so, BUT I SPENT 30 YEARS BUILDING MY BUSINESS." I love how he just shifted it so fast and explained that it took decades. I respect that.
I've only seen a couple of this guy's videos, but most of the ultra rich peeps he walks up on and starts talking to seem pretty nice. Even the ones who start out pretty cold eventually seem to warm up and you can see that they DO wanna share, they're just really guarded.
The interviewer guy DOES ask excellent questions and he's VERY good at actually talking to these people even if he's kind of annoying when he's just talking to the camera.
2:18 pretty amazing story. That's why he deflects away from the "billionaire" shit and goes right into what it actually took to get there, cuz this is the biggest hangup for people. But what does that say about how soul sucking being a lawyer is? Lol. He'd rather go door to door all day shopping his products around than to be a lawyer. Says a lot if you ask me. It IS better to suffer for what you ACTUALLY want and die on the road even if you never reach the destination.
His closing words are, "If you try to please everybody, you're gonna please nobody. Always stay consistent."
He's right about the coloring and the logo too... you NEVER, and I mean FUCKING NEVER change your logo. Ever.
"Consistency is everything." Forcing, overriding, training the matrix, training consciousness, your own and everyone else's.
3:50 awww man, this Kind bar guy seems like such a genuinely nice dude, it's like warming my heart and stuff, what is this feeling though, I can't. It's all too beautiful, show me Tom Cruise.
8:35 this Thomas guy seems super nice too.
12:27 I'm not even all that stoked about the Tom Cruise part anymore, the other interviews were so great. Well played annoying Mr. Beast guy. He totally just used Cruise as clickbait. Brilliant. That said, I'm certain Tom will have some important shit to say, so I'm not throwing preemptive shade or anything. It's just that the other guys would be hard to beat.
13:28 THIS GUY'S NAME IS JAMES. James Dumoulin. LOLOL, that's literally Mr. Beast's fucking name. Bahaha, the parallels. I had no idea.
13:50 "Movies, which encompasses almost every industry." I see where he's coming from, he's not wrong.
14:54 I dig the flip from "obsession" to "interest and passion" instead. I think Tom went there cuz he's always had to be on guard against getting called crazy or whatever. People have been saying Tom is nuts for like 25 years at this point, but look how successful he's been. He's damn near the legend of all legends in his field, I mean as far as actors go, Tom's the mack daddy. It is what it is. I do think extreme beauty played a pretty damn considerable role in his success though. His own passion and drive was the other part of the equation.
I think one of the most important things Tom ever shares is that he doesn't mind being afraid. He HAS been afraid about things, but you've gotta do it scared. That's all there is to it. So that is valuable insight.
Making a billion dollars as an actor is a lot different than making it through straight up business. I think it's an interesting perspective, but it's far more achievable doing literally anything besides the arts. If you are trying to become massively wealthy in any of the arts, you're forfeiting massive wealth. But if it's your passion, what else are you gonna do? Be miserable? Fuck that. I'd rather have $200,000 doing something I enjoy than $200,000,000 doing something that didn't make me feel great.
16:25 I like how Tom starts talking to the camera. The camera is like his comfort zone, but it's deeper than that. He knows what lies beyond the camera... untold, innumerable connections. If the person standing in front of him isn't gonna click with what he's saying, he knows the camera (AKA unlimited) will successfully get his point across to people who can understand.
I think one of the most badass things about Tom is that he's actually a pilot. I have a massive hard on for pilots and would choose a basic pilot over a billionaire any day of the week because it's something in MY SOUL that loves pilots. It's what they stand for, the FEARLESSNESS and the ABILITY to fly a motherfucking plane, it's SO UNNATURAL and one of the most normalized acts of insanity that exists in the modern era IMO. That's more appealing than money.
16:55 this was the most unique segment of Tom's interview. You'll hear him say all that other stuff in lots of different interviews, but this bit of insight into his practical approach is valuable. He's basically talking about a mastermind agreement.
So he basically says to accumulate knowledge that is applicable toward your own goals, CURATE the knowledge you take in. Pursue your dreams and passions regardless of being scared/nervous and find only the most accurate information that is applicable to your situation.
