The weirdest thing happened.
I started just leaving the ice cream to set in the freezer, and didn't shake it when it started to freeze to break up the ice crystals.
When I opened the jar this morning, there was a perfectly formed half circle/ball, about an inch across, in the middle of the surface like a dome.
No idea how that happened.
