Whistleblowers at Dave’s level can be absolutely crushed by saying the wrong thing, and they can also get other people in trouble who aren’t classified to hear those wrong things. We have to consider the fact that he is in a waiting period as members of Congress try to get him his clearance back, as he was stripped of it when he became a whistleblower.
