Thank you for looking into that filming/camera change on the Twilight Zone. I remember the first time I saw one of those episodes where they used that "soap opera" style camera. It was an episode about a radio playing a station that didn't exist anymore or some such.
The fact that they filmed a single episode with that terrible camera setup is a crying shame. I really mean it. I refuse to watch those episodes because it completely ruins the vibe and cheapens it... the atmosphere is totally obliterated.
There were some great storylines which fell victim to the mistake as well. Unfortunate.
They try to explains things by saying they were attempting to save money... but I think it was something far more sinister. I think they were trying to ruin the show, to lessen the impact of its message. Somebody must have protested against the atrocity.
