Are long fingernails really that great??

I have seen pictures, I think they were Guinness records of long nails all twisted and spiral. I do beleive that they only grow straight out for an undefined length, then they take uncontrolled twists and turns. :) The picture I saw was an old oriental guy with like foot long nails or somethig. Just going by memory. It may be that fake nails were developed because some ladys, like youself Trixie, have nails that start to bend rather quickly after they extend past the fingertip. :)
