You can't force things to be that way. Besides... you gotta account for people having a 'bad day'.
Some characters go through cycles and are more hospitable at some times than other times.
It's a discussion forum, it's not a "safe space". Elaine may not be the sweetest grape in the bunch but I don't get that 'ticking timebomb' feel either.

I don't see this little squabble between you two as an 'end all, be all'... like I said, it's pretty tame. Nothing to write home about. Certainly nothing to bar the gates over for anyone involved.
Maybe I'm jaded... I've been doing this discussion forum thing for like 15 years, along with most other people who post here (I assume), and it takes a lot for me to be offended or care at all. I would assume it is much the same for my other seasoned forum patrons. After so long, you either have a funny one-liner for an every-day asshole, or you don't make it far enough to get to that point of mastery.
