I hope I'm not alone in thinking that Owen Shroyer is both dumb, and a bitch. I've seen several videos where he's poking and prodding people for no reason at all other than to point out how stupid they are. So, he's not trying to discuss any subject, or hear any viewpoint, he's just trying to provoke liberals into showing their intellectual weaknesses. He does this with his shit-head tone of voice, his constantly interrupting people when they actually do share their viewpoint, his non-sequiturs that lead conversations astray, and his questions that are obviously designed to show people's lack of intelligence. So the first thing he tells these girls is "lets see if you're smarter than the last guy", then tries to make them look stupid by asking them to identify who said a quote, and then honestly gets fucking stupid with his meandering non-sequitur bullshit, and legitimately stupid comments on Nazis.
So, he makes a point about how neo-nazis in Charlottesville were larping, to which the girl respond they aren't because they stand for Nazi values. Then he cuts her off again, and asks them to identify Nazi values. They laugh, and get frustrated, because Nazi values are obvious. Then he acts like he has exposed them for not being able to identify Nazi values, and goes on about how Nazis basically don't exist. He makes a comment about how Nazis in Germany were socialists, as if that holds any weight at all in proving that Nazis aren't a thing. If he ever spoke to anybody with more intelligence, he would look like a total fool. He is insisting that Nazis don't exist, and what's really sad, is that his viewers are eating this shit up as if he was being intelligent. Neo-Nazis identify as Nazis, and many of them even want a fourth reich. Neo-Nazis are not larping. Neo-Nazis are Nazis. They are not historical Nazis from Germany, but they are Nazis. He then asks where Nazis exist. They say in America, and then like a dumb fucker, he's like "ohhhh look around, no Nazis". Again, as if that gives him credibility. Neo-nazis exist in America, more so since the rise of the alt-right. Neo-nazis are also holding office in the Ukraine. They say that they exist in the U.S., but even if they said that they were active in Ukraine, he would just say "oh, well, okay, that's true" and then charge in with some non-sequitur bullshit as he's done in the past when people successfully challenge him. So when they make their point that white-supremacist neo-nazi types are bad, he just says some bullshit to steer the conversation into another direction, usually to get them on some kind of dumb technicality that isn't even valid as a talking point. Like, as I've said, making the point that nazis were socialists. He doesn't have conversations with people. He makes his points, and then when people address his points he interrupts what they're saying, and basically points his finger to a generic talking point that is just hardly related, but doesn't even take into consideration the question he just had answered for him. He's trolling people. I've even seen him follow this lady that didn't want to talk to him, and constantly interrupt this dude was running for local office in Austin. With the dude at the beginning of this video, he asks him how Trump has been authoritarian, and the dude makes a decent point on how Trump has been authoritarian in nature by alluding to how he has made the press less free, and it's not that I wouldn't argue against what he specifically said, but after the whole thing is done, Owen is like "this guy couldn't even defend his perspective", when he actually did make an arguable point based on behavior that Trump actually did demonstrate.
Am I wrong about this? Curious as to what you guys all think, because I think he's just being a dumb little bitch in these liberal encounters. It is also getting to me that people on the comments for this video are like "oh damn, he fucked them up with facts". The fact that neo-nazis don't exist? The fact that there are no neo-nazis in America? The fact that they don't hold any power in the world? The fact that Trump doesn't censor the free press? It's just fucking stupid. With the free press issue, he has banned several news outlets, okay, but he has also edited out segments of questions from the press' questions on the publicly released recordings. I just don't get why so many people are riding this guy's dick like he's being intelligent when he's not, and is actually acting like a huge prick on top of that.
