That's scary!
The craziest thing that ever happened to me was just a couple months ago. I was working over the kitchen counter and saw a several drops of fresh blood on it. It looked like it dripped out a nose bleed, which I used to get when I drank a lot.
So I go to the bathroom and check. Nothing. No blood anywhere. I checked my hands, arms, head, mouth, nose... nothing! I went back to the kitchen and checked EVERYTHING. I even checked the ceiling and never found where that blood came from.
