Ever watch Halt and Catch Fire? It's a series about the home computer revolution of the 1980s. Much of the premise of that show is ridiculous too. For example, although they weren't building an IBM PC clone, they needed to reverse engineer the PC BIOS, and the only person they could find with the skills to do it was a college dropout with a bad attitude. Oh, and they couldn't make it past season 2 without the strenuously heterosexual alpha male lead suddenly rekindling a gay relationship with a former colleague. Motherfuck television in its festering ass.
