Here's how I figure it went down. He tried to get some water out of the camel's hump, but the hump was dry. Dude's mouth is getting pretty parched by this time. He's cruising along on the back of his camel, watching the balls of the camel in front of him swing to and fro all day, and suddenly it occurs to him that there must be liquid refreshments in there.
