Yes, it's fatally stupid. But it's more respectable than somebody who reproduces because they want to entrap the other person, for whatever reason.
You have men who want to trap women because they're obsessed with them, you have women who want to do the same thing to some men, or even worse, they want to use the kid to feed off the man re: child support etc. And I bet in the twisted history of all that is in this world, there has been a man who wanted to knock up a woman because she was wealthy and he wanted an easy ride.
I mean think about it... on this planet, there is NOTHING too warped, stupid, or twisted to happen.
