She wasn't abusive. I asked for her advice, and she gave it. I don't take offense when someone gives their honest opinion.

She claims she never said anything about my haircut. Maybe I misinterpreted her saying her clients prefer "clean cut" and "professional looking" candidates as a passive-aggressive jab at my haircut. I mean when people say things, I always assume there's a specific reason for what they said.

Anyway, my next interview with a recruiter will be over lunch at one of my favorite restaurants. Definitely more conversational and less interrogation-roomish.

Just got home from my interview with the second recruiter. I told him about the interview with Tattoo Knuckled Jane. He agreed that the bitch done me wrong.

He said there is plenty of demand for people with my skills and experience, and most companies aren't too picky about how their programmers look. I already knew that though. I may have to shave my sideburns for one of the companies, but he said don't bother unless I get an interview with them.

Overall, the interview went swimmingly. Location, location, location. If you want to have a conversation with me, do it in a conversational setting. If you put me in a goddamned interrogation room, I'll assume you're going to interrogate me.
