So she actually probably really did get people to agree to help her pay for it, probably $100,000 or so.

That sounds like a disaster... I mean, getting other people involved in it, paying for a trailer that's probably older than you are.

Not to mention they'll probably never actually be able to pay that for it, so it'll probably get foreclosed.
This would cost no more than... ah, probably $10K in a place like Kentucky. For the lot and the antique trailer on it. TBH, the trailer would probably be free at that age, so you'd just be paying for the land... $10K probably an overestimate.
