That's all good to know, thanks for the tips. I always thought the south had its own charm, but all I really know is from movies like Forest Gump lol! I do have a good friend who lives in Louisville Kentucky right now, so I might check it out at some point. And I will definitely stay away from Memphis and probably Atlanta too!
That's a shame about Florida, I haven't spent much time there, but thought I might like checking out the beaches and the tropics. It's true that the West has more scenic topography, maybe you should just move out West instead of making that drive every time and live in your van! :) It is definitely doable, especially if you are solo and can just go where you want when you want!!
