- debearing. seriously, lol. bears scratch tree bark, fungi grow in them, bees feed on fungi getting vital nutrients and compounds that seriously boost their immune system
these are the reasons i've found for the colony collapses. by the by, honey bees are not native to north america. they were brought here in 1622. that could have some implications on their ability to adapt here. worst case scenario, there are other species available to pollinate our crops.
i wonder how different the collapse rate is between NA bees and EU bees. they don't let monsanto's toxic shit all over in the EU like we do here.
