And I fear all reproduction in the future will be by artificial means anyway, there will be too much risk of your offspring getting a "disease" the old-fashioned way.

As far as human looking/acting bots, maybe so, but they'll have no soul.
Even though there are plenty of dumbasses running around out there who won't even admit they believe in or care about the soul, and who can't even consciously sense it...
They still sense it subconsciously and they still want a connection with it.
So all you'll really have once there are sexbots is a bunch of people who are even more lonely and sad than they were historically, with even less explanation for "why" because they don't understand the deeper principles of existence.
