Problem is, Zane’s core belief system is based on pure bullshit. Wanna know who else believed in Spirit guides? Native Americans. A handful of dudes that looked like Paul McCartney and the guy from Coldplay erased their entire civilization off the map. It took Cortez only 600 soldiers to defeat the entire Aztec empire. Deep irrationally is, and has always been, a huge disadvantage. That doesn’t stop druggie shaman like Zane, though. See, he is different. Never mind that almost nobody ever has achieved their goals but getting high or drunk the entire day. Even fewer leading that lifestyle in their late 30s. But Zane’s different. Late stage, terminally different.
