I’m only sharing what I found to be helpful in my own quest to shake off the bullshit. Every druggie comes from the island of misfit toys...physical abuse, neglect.. all that shit. To survive we make our imagination our friend. LSD is like gasoline on that fire. Whole lots of us went through long periods where we were convinced acid had “fixed” us , got us off drugs or whatever and had it turn into a long con.
I have a neighbor who came from Cambodia as a refugee escaped to Thailand in the trunk of a car. Saw his parents killed by the KR in front of his face. He has an upholstery business now and an American wife. He was able to do that because he is stress hardy. He went through tough shit and didn’t crack up.
LSD more than any other drug erodes that stress hardiness. It turns people into Pollyanna dreamers who can’t actually see their own problems. This effect lasts long after the drug is gone. I know this from my own experience and the experiences of dozens of friends I had from Phish tour in the late 90s. More than one has ended up homeless or dead. Understanding how the drug worked and it’s history was a bit of a red pill for me. I’m just offering the same one to Zane.
