In NO WAY am I trying to demean anything Archie is saying... I think he's absolutely right about most things.
It's just that the 'grid' (the lattice) is not a 'memogrid' storing memories or whatever the frigg he's trying to imply here. It's the fricken framework. It's a blueprint. That's all it is. It's all over everything. It co-exists with matter and you usually can't see it. You can even make your own. That's what you literally do when you invent something, or build something. It's a schema. It HAS to exist (in physical reality).
