I experienced the height of the "iPhone Cult" fad like a year ago and saw the writing on the wall then...
I thought it was mildly hilarious, but at the same time, it was disconcerting to be pointing out everything wrong with the product and no one seeming to grasp what a big issue it actually is.
They're basically done for.
The future of computers even for private use will necessitate smarter users. People have been dumbed down by the ease of Apple, particularly over the last 5 years.
What's coming will separate the wheat from the chaff, and again, it's people like you and me who will be totally fine.
To us, it's like the good ol' days again. Only now we're older, and we're still smarter than everyone else...
Which is unpleasant because we know dumb people get angry a lot because being dumb is frustrating.
They'll look at us breezing through the changes and actually having a lot of fun, while they run into nothing but obstacles they have no idea how to tackle whilst using their devices.
They'll learn the hard way, or they'll fucking give up on the internet... hopefully the latter, LMAO, let's be honest.
And if I sound like I'm sporting an elitist attitude, it's because I don't give a fuck anymore... I'm sick of everyone using and taking everything for granted. Fuck 'em all.
