I think the blood and the bullet just went trough the window, look how there's no window.

Elliots body went to his left side since he shot himself from the right side, then the car crashed and the airbag came but it didnt got stained in blood since the blood came from the left and right side of his head, especially his left side and well the airbag would only tough his chest area, it deflated and blood started dripping down his body and shirt, that's why the description of the officers. If this did in fact happen, i find it weird why there was blood in the middle of the console?? how did it get there?? if it got there it shouldve get in the airbag too.
But i mean, idk.
