True recovered alcoholics know you don’t so much as let a drop of any type of alcohol slip through your teeth ever again.
You don’t even entertain the foggy notion.
And there ARE recovered alcoholics out there...
They KNOW they’re only ever a bottle or a glass away from destroying the progress they’ve made, sometimes years upon years of progress.
They know it’s always a threat.
The truly successful ones have rigid rules.
They’re a rarity though, most people just go a few months/years then relapse and jump onto the rock bottom cycle all over again.
