Damn... 0_0 I had no idea this had been made public. And this video has been out for more than a year.

The diaries do lend credence to the Elliot incident having been real rather than an elaborate conspiracy.
As they say, the truth is often stranger than fiction.

It's total drivel though, can't listen to it. Rofl. RIP, Elliot, you should have given yourself more time and bought sex if you needed it that bad sonny.

Over 1 million views?? Well clearly they're not censoring Elliot on YouTube anymore. I mean, I think that is a change for the better. Maybe they'll loosen up their censorship on every other front too, that'd be real neat.

I mean, in Elliot's case though, it'd be understandable if YouTube never let up the censorship with him because he literally used their platform to upload his insane shit before he committed those acts.
But... looks like they're not holding a grudge and trying to suppress the information, and that's definitely the right call. It's a very interesting case study and should be freely discussed on YouTube.

UNRELEASED VIDEOS WERE MADE PUBLIC TOO!?! Oh I'mma definitely have to watch this.
03-02-2024, 08:44 PM
I wonder if this Zephyr person requested the diary and videos so that he could make these videos??
Probably not but... it'd be brilliant. Definitely. Oh, nvm. Looks like they've been out since 2021... https://www.reddit.com/r/lostmedia/comme..._but_never https://archive.org/details/elliot_rodger_foia Daaammmnnn, dude, this is crazy. All the videos are viewable/embedded right there. Most of them are pretty short. Kinda scared to watch.

Wild that this stuff has been released, and I very much doubt he ever thought it would be.
Reminds me of something I came across yesterday... It was the online auction of an estate which belonged to a deceased fairly small (but popular in their niche) YouTuber. It was sad to see their personal belongings aired publicly, things that they never would have wanted anyone to see. Made me think. Really, it's something that kinda changed my life. The idea that someone is gonna go through your belongings when you die, and if you're a public figure, there could be things in there that get made public and could potentially affect your reputation. Then I had to wonder, does the reputation of a dead person "matter"?? Is it something that can be protected under law somehow?? You'd think if it was a HUGE celebrity whose name was essentially a brand, there COULD be legal recourse. I need to look into it. Quote:Post-mortem privacy is a person's ability to control the dissemination of personal information after death. An individual's reputation and dignity after death is also subject to post-mortem privacy protections. In the US, no federal laws specifically extend post-mortem privacy protection. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-mortem_privacy Hmmm. Quote:The only clear extension of postmortem privacy rights under federal law are those pertaining to property. Seems like if there's nobody who is willing to fight for your cause, nothing will be done about such things and since it all varies from state to state, it's hard to say if there'd be any grounds for legal recourse in the first place. Grim shit, TBH. Really makes you wanna re-think everything you own and make sure there's no weird shit in there. At least that's what it did for me.

I've kinda already been through the "random people going through my embarrassing belongings" thing a couple times and I haven't even died before.
I'm not too bothered about it, but when it comes to actual death, it IS most likely gonna be family (unless you don't have any) and that could be pretty embarrassing if your belongings are questionable. And even if it's not shit that would be regarded as embarrassing by any sensible person, sometimes things that wouldn't even be embarrassing on the surface could be, for one reason or another. I get it, you're dead, it doesn't matter. No soul who has passed over is gonna care about what sorting through their belongings might do to the living. I've seen enough NDE videos to know that. Lol. But... still. Can't get it outta my mind now.

Fuckin' lol! Wow, oh my God. Such a perfect video.
It makes the whole concept of worrying about what you leave behind seem pretty silly. Rofl @ the blowup doll. I really do have a problem with the way the auction company handled some of the stuff they put up on the site... And by "handled" I mean they didn't just chuck it in the fucking trash like any decent human being with a lick of common sense would have done. Blah. Anyways. Weird shit lately man... weird shit. |
