No it's baby Andrew Eldritch.
He's great but he's an a-hole...
Apparently he chose that hot goth lady in his music videos solely because of her aesthetic and then he vehemently refutes claims that he's even goth.
I mean it's a little hypocritical.
Certainly nothing wrong with having good taste though.
I really like Andrew eventhough I really don't like him.

Apparently he didn't pay her so she left the group in 1990!

I just can't get into that Joy Division vocal style, and I actually like a few Joy Division songs.
As for "Bela Legosi's Dead" being the defining moment in goth music, I'm not seeing the attraction. The official 9-minute version starts out boring, and it doesn't get much more interesting if you click ahead.
This is a little more my speed. She's doing her own thing and not giving a fuck.

They remind me of Talking Heads in a way.

It's different strokes...
I could never get into Siouxsie even though I appreciate her look and some tidbits of some of their songs.

Too many goth bands sound like they're trying to fit into a handful of narrowly-defined goth sub-genres.
A thing I've noticed about goths in general is that even the ones who complain about goth elitism and gatekeeping seem to have a compulsion to narrowly define and categorize things. They'll instantly tell you if something is goth or not goth.

As if they alone are the arbiters of goth.

Hardcore goth and snootiness go hand in hand so I've noticed.

Fortunately I'm well past the age of fearing peer rejection and wanting to fit into a clique. If I do something and call it goth, and someone tries to tell me it's not, I'll tell them to fuck off.

Goths are an elusive force that dominate all genres. Take Lisa Stansfield for instance.

I don't know if it's Mandella effect or what, but I swear I remember this song being a decade older than it is.
That's the only song I know by Stansfield. I wasn't aware of her goth influence. I actually thought she was a black American for some reason.

So I put together the image for this T-shirt.
First, I downloaded the highest resolution copy of the boat picture I could find. I don't know how much CafePress will have to scale the image, or in what direction, to make it fit on a shirt, so it's best to submit the highest resolution image available.
Next, I scouted a copy of the Drab Majesty logo. They've used a number of different fonts on their record covers and fliers, so I went with the one that most appealed to me. There weren't many options, so I downloaded one that looked like it would be easy to clean up in GIMP. This was a tiny GIF with anti-aliased cyan lettering on a textured grey background. The goal was to reduce it to two colors (black and white) and scale it to fit.
GIMP doesn't have the "reduce color depth" function found in Paint Shop Pro. Moreover, the GIMP color tools won't work period on images with indexed palettes such as GIF. The latter was easily solved by copying the image and pasting it as a new image. (New images are full color RGB in GIMP.) I reduced the color depth by desaturating the image and then adjusting luminance and contrast. This produced the desired white on black logo. The image's transparent color was then set to black.
With a proper overlay in hand, I upscaled it to fit, then copied it and pasted it as a new layer into the boat picture. Done.
