Well that Johnny Cash cover I recorded for my boss ended up paying off bigly!

I’m literally about to have me a damn nice fucking cry and a bowl and probably a few ciggs, cause my boss surprised me today and gave me his Fender Super Sonic tube amp and this 4 button foot switch and a microphone to make some better quality vocal recordings.

He heard a few songs I have online a few weeks ago and he requested I cover Johnny Cash’s version of Sunday Morning Coming Down so I did and I finally got around to giving him the link to the cover he requested and he really enjoyed it.

Well that was yesterday then today we’ve been having a slow day here at the vineyard because it’s raining pretty heavy outside so we’re just hanging out around the house here and I was huddled up by the garage door having a smoke and he came out and told me he had something for me.

Gives me this freaking amazing ass beautiful set up and shows me a few things about using it and tells me to have a blast and that he’s happy to help support me on my singing career.

Fuck dude. I did a couple songs already just playing around with it, sounds incredible, it’s fun as shit to sing all my favorite stuff and now I’m physically wiped out from belting my heart out for the last hour or so.

Lol my boss said giving this set up to me was probably the best decision he’d ever made as far as gifts to give someone.

Can’t tell you how blessed I am.

I’m literally blown away! And yes my boss who is actually more like family I guess more mentor/friend plus I’m in a relationship with his ex wife’s daughter so I guess we’re a lot closer than just working for someone at some company somewhere. The good thing is even if the relationship not pan out for whatever reason me and Mike have an excellent relationship and great understanding, very up front, great rapport and open line of communication that he would not be phased one way or the other if the relationship not pan out. He supports us a hundred percent but didn’t want me feeling obligated or pressured in the long run just because she’s his people. I’m really blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life, on AND off line! Absolutely love that compliment about the savvy avvy being similar to tarot art. Love it!

Also here’s one of my first live demo recordings playing around with the new equipment. I’m way off note towards the end just for a second lol I quickly fixed it and finished strongly I think but this was just something I wanted to throw up to show a few people, namely you and my little brother. But here we go!
