Julia Sweeney was sooo under-rated as a total babe back then.
Walken in those "The Continental" skits, ROFL!! Fucking priceless!!

Too bad you can't make comedy anymore like so much of what made early SNL great.
Woke is whack. : (

I keep seeing it from HIS perspective and it cracks me up, cuz the cameraman is like a guy wearing the fancy gloves roflmfao, it's hilarious, you can see it in his eyes that he wants to crack up sometimes.

SNL truly does get worse year upon year.

I think they have entered their absolute worst period yet.

I would consider "classic" SNL anything like pre-2012. Something like that.

I shouldn't have pigeon-holed this thread by denoting it as classic SNL, cuz there IS some "newer" SNL that I do find funny.

Maybe I'll just post 'em anyway if I run across them.

I was binge-watching SNL back in like like 2020 and there was some pretty funny shit from the 2010s. I thought I posted those videos as I watched them, but it looks like I didn't. I did share some of them on the Kate McKinnon thread...

These were probably the best thing SNL has made in the past decade.

Cecily Strong is amazing. She never breaks character.

I'd have to look to see the time period but I gave up on SNL as a regular viewer
when Will Ferrell left. It just didn't have the same appeal - but like you say there are
some good skits and even episodes in more recent times but they're few and far between.

OK, I looked. He left in 2001. Dang, I thought it was before then.

3:02 that was amazing. I pretty much only remember Chris Elliott from There's Something About Mary (1998) and Scary Movie 2 (2001).

I always thought Tay Swizzle was pretty hot back in the day and she's still hot or whatever but...

What's all the fuss about? I don't get it.

I'd never listen to her music on purpose.

But apparently she's been selling out stadiums all year for her tour which is about all the different iterations of herself over the years.

The whole thing sounds sorta narcissistic and apparently the tickets are insanely expensive.

It's just so obvious that she's a huge tool for agendas and I wonder what their longterm plan for her is.

They're clearly not gonna self-destruct her like they've been trying to do with Britney Spears.

I just think it's...

Agh, subpar that these are apparently the idols and legends of the 2000s.

How.
