It got trapped in my bedroom...

I thought it was a wasp at first but it was some other weird kinda bug with wings.

But anyways...

I really can't explain what happened. I can't get into details, but...

Shit went down.

I'm laughing about it, but honestly it really isn't funny it's just...

Like what the fuck is life.

That poor bug...

To end up in here and then have that fucked up shit happen to it.

I just put it outside the door...

I hope it doesn't get back in. It's probably out there slowly dying.

Now I'm looking around the room all paranoid.

At least it's not a wasp...

But I don't know what it actually is.

I don't want this fucker landing on me when I'm asleep or something.

And after the sequence of events that just went down...

I gotta have some karma coming to me over it, but honest to God it really was unintentional.

Seriously...

I really didn't do that shit on purpose.

I mean, insects are some resilient little fuckers.

I feel like they're amazing and just another thing getting the shit end of the stick because of humanity.

Dude this is THE CLUMSIEST BUG I've ever fucking encountered.

I mean yeah I accidentally smashed his head in a little bit (I heard the crunch) and he did almost drown in my piss but...

He was acting all fucked up BEFORE that.

I just turned the light off in the room and I heard him fly over to the side of the room, hit the wall and slide down into some shit sitting in the corner.

I think I should just not turn the light back on and go to bed.

I just have this guilt problem where I try to rescue insects and free them or whatever...

Like I'm really good at guiding insects and other animals toward the light, you know what I mean?

But sometimes shit just goes astray...

It's hard to figure just exactly how this all unfolded but I have to say it was probably the most eventful part of my day.

I think the moral of the story is... where do you draw the line in rescuing insects? When does it do more harm than good? Is it just going to have some weird drawn out death because you let it live and now it's trapped in a room in a dark corner where you hide your wine stash? Like one of those cardboard boxes you find with dried up dead insects in them?

Who's to say what would have been more merciful...

And it really makes me think about humans out in nature and nudity.

I like to sleep naked and I just felt vulnerable tonight as I got ready for bed. Fully expected my ass to get attacked by a winged insect.

But a major factor in insect movement/activity is light. If it's dark and you're not attracting them with any light toward your direction (like by using a tablet whilst in bed, ROFL) then it should be fine.

I posted a thread about more of my thoughts on this topic a while back...
