Like to stores and shit?? You almost NEVER see a baby having a good time at the store. I was just in Target and this baby was SCREAMING. It's like... that should be an indicator that you're putting the baby in a shitty, stressful situation it clearly doesn't be want to be in.
Why the hell do people take their babies out in public??

marriage rates are way down, so there's only one parent for most kids these days. hiring babysitters costs money, so they drag the infants/toddlers around all over. so annoying seeing that at my theater. HEY LET'S BRING AN INFANT TO AN R RATED MOVIE STARTING AT 10 PM!

People have lost all sense of self accountability, awareness and respect of others. Too self centered and self consumed to consider how their behavior might effect others. Just because you are burdened and inconvenienced with a child, baby or children does not mean that others should be exposed to that unnecessarily. It's very inconsiderate to bring very young children to places where adults are gathering, eating and/or shopping. There should be an age requirement of at least 5+ years old for many businesses. Meaning if the child can't walk and talk on it's own... it should not be allowed in. There are plenty of places for children and that's fine. Not to sound hateful, but I loathe when I'm shopping somewhere and a mother is lugging around a baby and multiple children of various ages in tow. If they are without a father... or don't have the money to pay a babysitter... that should not be my problem, not even for a moment. Keep the kids at home if you can... please.

I agree, Unikitty...
But a big part of it to me is the distress of the baby. I mean... babies don't cry like that for no damn reason. To have a baby in a situation where it's stressed to the degree that it's screaming bloody murder is clearly wrong. Genba raised a good point about single parents. The crux of this issue is broken families. If it was the good old days, the kids would be left at home with dad on the weekend while mom got all the shopping crap done for the week. I think that's what they did on Leave it to Beaver... ![]()

The stores make themselves way too child friendly with those seats in the shopping carts. Why do they require everyone to push those baby drooled shopping carts around too? Why can't there be special shopping carts for the people without children?
