I think frogs, crickets, birds, storms, wind.. all of those sounds make me feel so at peace.

I have a mocking bird that starts singing late at night here and I love hearing him. I open my window so I can hear him.

I also LOVE the sound of seagulls in the morning.

The simple things in life are what I treasure the most.

I found out what's singing outside at night is actually katydids.

I thought it was frogs having sex.

I wonder why katydids sing.

I do think it's very soothing though.

I don't even know what a katydid is. Is it a bird?

They say that insects like this evolved to look like leaves and fit in with their surroundings, but I really just think they basically are leaves that grew legs and eyeballs.

It's the same schema as a leaf.
