I saw a double rainbow a few months ago that hung there for as long as I cared to look at it.
The coolest thing I ever saw in the sky was at sunset one day when the sun, the moon, Venus, and another bright planet (Jupiter?) were all in a line just above the western horizon.
Second coolest thing was a teeny tiny rocket-shaped vehicle way the hell up in the sky. I'm talking 70,000 feet or more. It may have been a satellite, but how could you see a satellite in that much detail in broad daylight? The only satellite I've seen that I know for sure was a satellite zipped across the night sky very quickly. The apparent speed of this thing wasn't fast at all. It must've been an exotic aircraft of some kind.
