Anybody else find all the difficulties in registering on these sites sorta worrisome?

I’m already a member of all the exchanges I care to bother with, but it seems like this shutting out of new members can mean only a few things...

It’s either really what they say it is, or they’re shutting out new people in order to minimize damage control in the future.

Bittrex has been closed to new users for over a month and Kraken isn’t verifying people anymore, so it’s basically pointless to have an account with them. It’s interesting...

I’m not trying to cast doubt on cryptos... God knows I’ve had a lot of fun. But I am just analyzing this situation and the flood gates closing just make me wonder if the barbed wire is pointing in or out, gnomesayin’?

I mean at this point if you were somebody just now trying to get into crypto...

All you’d really be able to do is register on Coinbase and buy the vanilla coins they have.

Which is better than nothing, but damn.

Are the smaller exchanges gonna start closing their doors too?

When does it officially get suspicious?

Binance and Bitfinex are some of the more well known exchanges besides Kraken and Bittrex...

Now that they're closed to new users, the traffic will trickle on down the line to the other exchanges.

Will they start turning away new users?

Is this the devised scheme to control crypto trading?

Will these exchanges ever actually open their doors again?

i sense that it has something to do with user management and regulations that may come into play soon. due to the nature of all this crazy stuff, a sufficient reserve would be necessary to prevent runs and lawsuits.

i don't think they [federalis] understand some of the cooler things in place that will be gaining traction, like the lightning network's atomic swaps. you can trade some coins for a different type of coins with no exchange in place.
