The stories in the comments are freaky as shit. Tons of stories of weird shit in the woods, portals, cloaked/invisible giant creatures... One story right after the other and I bet most of them are true.

From the comments... Quote:When the men saw Sandra and she ignored them, she was behaving like a real ghost. True though.

Damn dude, what the fuck is going on in these forests??

2:36... From the comments: Quote:Hubby and I were driving to Mount Rainier the summer of 1982 on one of the logging roads. Considering that we were in the middle of nowhere we just thought it best to stand in front of the car and take in the beauty. No sooner had we got comfortable, a very loud, almost debilitating mechanical sound came from all directions. We looked at each other and said, let's get the heck out of here now! This story kinda reminded me of this strange almost psychic kind of phenomenon I've experienced throughout the years... (03-18-2023, 08:14 PM)Chatwoman Wrote: Basically, usually when I'm in bed going to sleep, there will be this anticipation of an extremely loud, inescapable, worldwide sound. Something everyone, everywhere will hear. Rather than a 'boom' though, it's like a constant tone, almost like a mega loud alarm. Over the years, I've heard other people mention that they get this same 'feeling' sometimes. https://www.sectual.com/thread-18831-pos...#pid163020 Wonder if these sounds come from another dimension, or maybe even from inside the planet? From the comments: Quote:I think a lot of people give up on life and go out into nature, not necessarily to 'opt out' but to test themselves, find their meaning through hardship, and if they perish they are okay with it. Plausible. 9:26 dude, Bear Grylls is hot as fuck.

Kinda off topic, but I'm finding that anywhere from 1.25 to 1.75 is perfect for watching most YouTube videos these days, lmao.

Was it REALLY an owl??
I mean when I got a good look at it, I interpreted it as an owl, no question about it. It had a giant white (light colored) owl face, the eyes were glowing cuz of my headlights. It was only after I'd passed it and thought about it for a few seconds that I realized it was at least 3 feet tall. Why would a giant owl be standing off the side of the road though?? I was the only car around at the time, but that definitely wouldn't have been for long. https://avibirds.com/owls-of-kentucky The ONLY owl that it could have possibly been on that list is the "rare" Snowy Owl... That article says they can be up to 28 inches. I mean... That's just over 2ft. tall and yeah that's pretty tall but it definitely looked bigger than that. Quote:Snowy owls can reach up to 27 inches in height . . . Male snowy owls are smaller than females. https://www.chesapeakebay.net/discover/f.../snowy-owl https://imgur.com/a/Rj5o7Lz The coloring definitely seems right on. Hmmm... Maybe it was just an extra large snowy owl. Possibly a female. Quote:The Snowy Owl (Bubo scandiacus), a large raptor rarely observed in the region, spends most of the year in Canada and Alaska. In late fall and winter, large numbers of Snowy Owls sometimes appear south of the Canadian border in the northern Great Lakes states and along the Atlantic Coast in New England. The term biologists use for this phenomena is irruption, when birds or animals migrate into an area in abnormally large numbers. A sighting of just one of these large, all-white owls in northern Kentucky is really special, a rare event that only happens a few years each decade. https://www.nkytribune.com/2019/12/art-l...unheard-of I did see it in October. Shit, maybe it really was a huge snowy owl. But I still maintain it was more than 28 inches tall.

Why the heck are owls associated with so much mystery??
Why does it feel so weird to see one? It's so weird to even hear one. Like it's got this definitive FEEL about it. What's the deal with owls??
04-23-2023, 02:32 AM
I bet every single one of these strange "cryptid" and other weird creature sightings are literally just "rare" and likely damn near extinct species of straight up animals on the planet. It's probably not even supernatural at all. For real.
Even if some of them have some kinda weird interdimensional cloaking thingy going on, is that REALLY "supernatural" or is it just freakin' the way it is for some creatures on the planet? Like come on. We're so stone age, it's honestly obnoxious.
I dunno these owls here are species for here there isnt 10 of them like merica you get like 1.
And it doesn't go hoot da hoo just sits there making an mm mm mm noise but when you shine torch on it its a big fucker. Claws on them huge like 3 feet tall no wonder other birds are scared of them.
04-23-2023, 03:07 AM
They have presence alright. ESPECIALLY when they're unusually large, lol!

It's nice to get to the bottom of the whole "giant owl" mystery though.
I'm surprised I didn't look into it sooner. Weird stuff happens and you just kinda move along and only remember it every now and then.
well its kind of like an Eagle birds of prey I seen 2 ravens escorting a wedge tailed eagle out of here looked like 2 f16's escorting a Russian bear bomber was crazy.
Wish I had a camera when it happened.

I keep thinking about the fact that I didn't tell anyone about seeing a GIANT owl.
Maybe this is why a lot of people don't speak about their Bigfoot sightings. Rather than the fear of being judged, maybe some people are stunned by the supernatural feel of it and it runs in the same vein as repressed memories... "Trauma and Repressed Memories: It's a natural function only useful to a certain point" https://www.sectual.com/thread-5490.html Of course I'm not suggesting that seeing Bigfoot or seeing a giant owl or even seeing aliens is "traumatic" but I think the unexplainable nature of some of these experiences gets 'sorted' by the brain in the same way as trauma does. So this may be why some people don't talk about their experiences. Seems like it takes years to talk about some of the stuff, and some people probably never do.
