But if I were her, I'd be doing some serious planning for the future that doesn't revolve around men in any capacity.

The idea isn't to find a guy to settle down with at the last minute, the goal is to have your own. Your own land, your own home, your own money, your own life full of hobbies, friends etc.

Her seeming lack of planning for the future is actually kind of concerning.

She COULD find a man close to her own age who just doesn't want kids... I'd imagine it's rare though. Maybe more common these days. But I would guess it's still quite rare. When you're a woman who doesn't want to have any children, you have to make that clear fucking immediately when you connect with a dude.
