I think these guys have the best hardtack tutorial.

Making hardtack for long term/survival storage is great, but I'm actually gonna eat it.

It IS the best tutorial but I would change some things... I'd make them a little thicker and use parchment paper, but otherwise, it's great.

Fuck canning shit, let other people do that, and fuck a freezer full of meat that will spoil when the power goes out (although you could make pemmican and I probably should)...

Hardtack is the easiest thing to make, but it's time intensive with all the baking. Still the best bet.
