Funny little story [if true, I wasn't there] about this song.

Trent Reznor was under contract at the time with his record label and his doing
vocals on this song was a big no-no [for whatever reason] and so Al Jourgensen [Ministry]
said "Dude, fuck THAT!" and ran Trent's vocals through some god-awful [read: AWESOME!]
distortion and released the song that way. The record execs didn't know sheeeeeiiiit about it.

Fucking record labels. Awesome Sabbath cover. Fuck record execs!

I don't really pay much attention to the lyrics on this one, I just love the instrumentation.

Beautiful song.

This song needs a little NIN-ification and a video of hot cowgirls throwing down in an
old dusty saloon. Who's with me?? *cheers*

Trent runs his vocals through some god-awful distortion on his own records, so how does that disguise him exactly?

I don't know. They just told Al that he was going to have to redo the vocals
himself and he wasn't having it. I think he actually did do a vocal take
for the execs to hear and once they were OK with it, he just swapped it back
out with Trent's vocal track. Years since I read that story though, so kinda hazy.
